ANAFRIC and Alimentaria FoodTech have formalised a collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening the visibility of the meat sector and enhancing its role within the technological transformation of the food industry.
This agreement, signed with Fira de Barcelona, organiser of the event, establishes a framework for cooperation to promote the participation of ANAFRIC member companies in one of the leading trade fairs for innovation, technology and processes in the food industry.
The next edition of Alimentaria FoodTech will take place in Barcelona from 6 to 8 October 2026, consolidating its position as a key meeting point for professionals across the entire food value chain, from production to distribution, with a special focus on automation, digitalisation, sustainability and food safety.
A joint boost for the meat sector
Through this alliance, ANAFRIC will help promote Alimentaria FoodTech among its members, encouraging their active participation in the event. In turn, the trade fair will provide visibility for the association across its channels and spaces, while also supporting the presence of the meat sector in strategic areas such as the FoodTech Innovarena innovation space.
The agreement also includes the organisation of round tables, presentations and success stories featuring companies from the sector.
Ricardo Márquez, Director of Alimentaria FoodTech, highlighted that: “This collaboration with ANAFRIC reinforces our commitment to one of the most important sectors within the food industry. The meat sector plays a key role in the technological transformation taking place across the industry, and we want to be the meeting point where these solutions are driven forward.”
Meanwhile, José Friguls, President of ANAFRIC, stated that: “This agreement represents a great opportunity for our member companies, as it will give them access to an environment of innovation, knowledge and networking that is essential for addressing the current challenges facing the meat sector.”
