Through this agreement, confectionery companies will strengthen their connection with the latest automation, digitalisation and ingredient solutions through the trade fair.
The confectionery sector is reinforcing its commitment to innovation, as well as its position within the leading forums of the food industry, in order to anticipate future challenges.
PRODULCE, the Spanish Confectionery Association, has reached a collaboration agreement with Alimentaria FoodTech, the leading trade fair for innovation, technology and ingredients for the food industry, with the aim of boosting the visibility, participation and competitiveness of companies in the confectionery sector.
This agreement, based on promotion and preferential access to the trade fair, will allow member companies direct access to the latest technological solutions transforming the food value chain: from processing and ingredients to packaging, automation, digitalisation and food safety.
Organised by Alimentaria Exhibitions, a Fira de Barcelona company, Alimentaria FoodTech will hold its 17th edition from 6 to 8 October 2026 at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona, bringing together more than 370 exhibiting companies and nearly 15,800 professional visitors from 30 countries.
A joint drive for the transformation of the sector
In a context marked by the need for constant innovation, production efficiency and adaptation to new consumer habits, this alliance reinforces the positioning of the confectionery sector as a dynamic, competitive industry committed to its evolution.
The collaboration will also strengthen the network of relationships between manufacturers, technology suppliers and key players in the food sector, facilitating access to knowledge, trends and high-value solutions.
During the signing, Olga Martínez, President of PRODULCE, highlighted that “this agreement is an opportunity to continue bringing our companies closer to the leading innovation spaces within the food sector. Technology and digitalisation are key drivers for improving our competitiveness, and at PRODULCE we work to ensure our companies are where they need to be, connected to the trends and the stakeholders shaping the future of the industry.”
Meanwhile, Ricardo Márquez, Director of Alimentaria FoodTech, stated that “the collaboration with PRODULCE reinforces our commitment to bringing together the leading sectors of the food industry in a single space. The confectionery sector is a benchmark for its adaptability, innovation and international outlook, and its participation in the trade fair adds significant value to the wider ecosystem.”
Innovation as part of the confectionery sector’s DNA
Through this agreement, PRODULCE continues to advance its strategy of positioning the confectionery sector within the main national and international forums, facilitating the creation of opportunities, the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of professional networks.
