Development of a new process for the production, separation and recovery of alternative proteins
Producing proteins and high-value ingredients from agri-food by-products offers a promising route towards more sustainable and circular food systems. Using the SOSPROT project as an example, the session will show how fermentation and downstream filtration processes can separate and recover biomass, produce new ingredients and integrate Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) strategies.
